Orly Goitein, MD
Director of Cardiac Imaging, Department of Diagnostic Imaging, The Chaim Sheba Medical Center - Tel Hashomer, IsraelDr. Goitein received her medical degree from Hadassah University Hospital, Ein Kerem, Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1993. She then trained in radiology and became a Specialist in Imaging for The State of Israel in 2000. She then went on to do a fellowship in Thoracic Imaging at Weill Cornell Medical College, New York Presbyterian in 2001.After the fellowship, Dr. Goitein became a Senior Radiology Specialist in Chest Imaging at University Hospital, Hadassah Ein Kerem, Jerusalem and Senior Radiologist at the Imaging Consultation Center for Maccabi Health Services until 2003. She then went on to do a fellowship in Thoracic and Cardiac Imaging at the University of Pittsburgh in the USA in 2004. Dr. Goitein was then advanced to Senior Radiologist in the field of chest imaging and cardiac imaging at the Imaging Institute of Chaim Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, Israel, and in 2008 was promoted to Director of the Cardiac Imaging Service at Sheba Medical Center. Dr. Goitein is a senior lecturer at the Sackler Medical School, Tel-Aviv University and has published extensively in the field of cardiac imaging as well as general radiology. She has authored and coauthored more than 50 manuscripts in peer reviewed journals and several book chapters.
